People have been implementing science into Christianity for as long as science has existed. You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself! And it’s never been more important for the Church to be scientifically literate. Many of the biggest issues facing society in the next hundred years - like climate change, artificial intelligence, and bioethics - revolve around science. If we want to play an active role in society, Christians need to be informed. Unfortunately, not all faith resources accurately represent modern science.

I have collected some scientifically accurate, well-communicated resources for curious readers. Here’s some collected wisdom to help you on your journey.

Science Reading

For those looking for a deeper dive into a particular scientific topic, I've collected a handful of books I turn to for scientific reference. Also check out my Twitter list “Climate People.”

Science and Faith Orgs

There are many voices attempting to shape how the Church relates to science, but not all have the same levels of scientific credibility. I've chosen my favorite groups, which help Christians fit science into their faith.

Science and Faith Booklist

Science and faith are each massive publishing areas, but it is not always easy to find books that credibly and thoughtfully engage with both at the same time. I've highlighted some of the best.

Role Models

Although it can feel like most people fight about science and religion, there are a handful of people whose lives are counter-examples.

Quotes

Sometimes someone else says something more poetically than you could, capturing an idea you hold dear. These do that for me.

Children’s Books

Kids start learning about science in elementary school. But we often don’t start talking about science and faith in our churches until much later. Why not?
